This was another show I wasn’t planning on going to but
I’m glad I did. Half the people on my dorm floor were
going and I got roped into the show because I knew how
to get to Hammerjack’s.
Hammerjack’s was a rock club but every now and again
they’d book a hip-hop show and this one was a beast.
Gangsta rap was just starting to get huge thanks to The
Chronic and Gin & Juice but this tour was different. No
guns, bitches and ho’s, just POSITIVITY to the extreme: A
Tribe Called Quest with Del La Soul and Souls of
Mischief (damn,,,remember them??) opening the show.
